Polycrystalline
arrays On the south side of the main building there are 41 polycrystalline modules. Each of them has approximately 57 W output. This array will be connected to the grid. The total power output is 2.3 kW approximately. (Architect: Kenneth Olsen, Vestervig, Thy) |

| Technical
details The array contains 41 Solarex polycrystalline silicon solar modules each of them built up from 36 solar cells. The modules are made in USA. The maximum voltage is 17.1 V and the maximum current is 3.4 A at the maximum power point. The maximum power is 57 W. You can measure these data on standard weather conditions (1000 W/m2 incoming power on the surface of the PV at 25 °C.) |

If you stand in front of the main entrance in the left hand side on the roof you can see another polycrystalline array. These four PV modules provide the small exhibition next to the reception with electricity. A refrigerator , some lamps, and a little water pump are connected to these PV modules. This system also contains two batteries for storing the electricity. The PV cells on the roof are the same Solarex polycrystalline silicon solar cells as mentioned above. | |
