Examples of the about 70 converted cars in Denmark.

Toyota Dyna 100, 2.5 Common Rail, 2002

Belongs to Dronninglund Municipality, service department. Modified January 2005 with a 2-tank system by the municipalities own car mechanic.

IH 384 tractor, 1965

Modified in May 2004 at Samsų, Denmarks Renewable Energy Island. The tractor has pre chamber engine, and had been modified with an 1-tank solution.

The tractor works for an organic farmer.

Opel Corsa Combo 1.7 DTI, 2002

Converted November 2003 at "Do-It-Yourself" workshop organised by Folkecenter at Aalborg technical School for Car Mechanics. The car has been converted with a 2-tank system, and the original engine heater has been upgraded to an engine/comfort heater*) to allow preheating of the engine before cold starts. The car has now passed about 37.000km on PPO(dec. 2004). The average consumption is 5 liters PPO/100km (20km/l).

*) engine/comfort heater is burning diesel

VW Transporter 2.5 TDI, 2003

The car belongs to Vejle Amt(county), department for environment and water protection, and was converted may 2003 at "Do-It-Yourself" workshop at Folkecenter by VW-workshop mechanics. The car has been converted by an 1-tank system including a comfort/engine heater, which allows the car to start directly on PPO round the year. Preheating before cold starts of DI engines on PPO is recommended at temperatures below 5-10°C.

Seat Alhambra 1.9 TDI, 2000

Converted may 2003 at "Do-It-Yourself" workshop at Folkecenter. The car has been converted by an 1-tank system including upgrading the original comfort/engine heater to allow preheating before cold starts, which allows the car to start directly on PPO round the year.

Mercedes Benz, 124, 6cyl 3,0, 1989.

Converted by an 1-tank system in May 2003 at "Do-It-Yourself" workshop at Folkecenter. The car has now passed  54.000km on PPO (may 2004). The 1-tank convertion for IDI engines allows cold starts on PPO round the year without preheating of the engine, and have been tested throughly during the last 5 winther in Denmark.

VW LUPO 3L, 1.2 TDI, 2002

Converted may 2003 at "Do-It-Yourself" workshop at Folkecenter. Converted by a 2-tank system.

VW LUPO 3L, 1.2 TDI, 2001

Converted february 2003 at Folkecenter as the first LUPO 3L converted in the Nordic countries. The car runs on Faroe Island, and was converted by an 1-tank system including a comfort/engine heater, which allows the car to start directly on PPO round the year.

VW Passat 1.9 TDI, 1996

Converted September 2002 at "Do-It-Yourself" workshop at Folkecenter. First car with direct injection that has been converted in Denmark, and it was converted by an 1-tank system including a comfort/engine heater, which allows the car to start directly on PPO round the year. The car has now passed  100.000km on PPO (sept. 2004).

VW Taro 2.4 D 4x4, 1994.

Converted July 2002 by an 1-tank system.

Citroėn Xantia 1.9 TD, 1995

Converted by an 1-tank system in 2001 at mileage 249.000 km. Have now passed 122.000km on PPO (june 2005). The car has been driving in about 15 countries from Russia to France.

Peugeot 206, 1.9 TD, Juni 2000

Converted at a Danish workshop in December 2000. The original CAV/Lucas injection pump was changed to Bosch in order to complete the conversion.

Fiat Scudo Combinato 1.9 TD, 1998

Converted in 1999 by an 1-tank system, and have since passed more than 200.000 km on PPO and PPO/diesel mixtures (15/3 2004)

Mercedes Benz 310 D, kassevogn, 2.5 l, 1993

Converted in April 1999 by an 1-tank system. The car distributes organic farm product, and have passed about 200.000km on PPO after the convertion (May 2004)

Toyota Hi-lux pickup, 2.4 D, 1999

Folkecenters car for daily use. Converted as new car in April 1999 by an 1-tank system. Has now passed about 90.000km on PPO (june 2004)

VW Golf, 1.9 D, 1993

Converted in September 1999 by an 1-tank system. Since that ONLY running on 100% pure plant oil without any kind of additives or diesel. Have now passed 110.000km on PPO (june 2005)

The car has been running in about 15 countries from Norway to Croatia.

Average comsumption summer: 5L/100km
Average comsumption winter: 6L/100km

The photo“s shows ekstra fuel canisters for long trips, which allows a total distance of up to 3000km.

Kaunerthal, Austria - Climbing to 2150 meters altitude and minus 13 °C

Equipment for long distance driving - canisters with 85 liter, ball valve and 40 cm pipe. Enough for 2600-3000 km - go !

VW Passat 1.9 TDI.

Converted in 1999. Since that the car has passed more than 330.000 km (10/12-2003), first at Elsbett in Germany, and later in Denmark.
